Yesenia Serratos

Born and raised in Mexico City, Yesenia Serratos has been a performer, instructor, and dedicated choreographer for over a decade in various dance communities both in the U.S. and abroad. Beginning her professional dance career in Chicago, Yesenia performed as a member of companies such as Joel Hall Dancers and Luna Negra Dance Theater. After three years teaching and performing Jazz and Ballet, Yesenia decided to continue her dance journey in Los Angeles, where she became the top Ballet Instructor and Choreographer at Simi Dance Center training kids from 6 to 18 years old. She also was a leading member of both the Los Angeles Choreographers and Media City Ballet companies, both as a performer and an instructor.

Yesenia has trained in a wide variety of dance styles and techniques, including Salsa, Cha Cha Cha, Ballroom, and Hustle. In 2018, she won the 2018 Latin World Cup Hustle Champion with her dance partner, Raul Santiago. Yesenia’s techniques have helped her create a fusion from the Latin styles with a unique touch. She relishes in teaching adults that are not dancers. Yesenia’s known for her “no nonsense” teaching style that is pivital in getting the best out of her students.
